My resilience and perseverance are noted by many people around me, including friends and employers. Those two traits have been cemented in me after graduating from highschool and have brought me many successes. I have always strived to to be kind and provide help to others, something I learned from my parents of Mexican decent. I have two younger brothers, who I do my best to set a great example to, and a pet cat, who I love dearly.
My first two years of college were done at Morton College
My current university, Dominican University, is another close-knit hispanic servising institution, and the staff & faculty have taught me many life lessons, especially those of the four pillars: prayer, study, community, and service.
While at Morton College, from 2020-2021, I served as the student representative in the board of trustees, as well as a member of the college's student government in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Currently at Dominican University, I am interning with the institution's IT department under the government Connecting Minority Communities Program. Our mission being to educate the Dominican community about safe cybersecurity practices and to bridge the digital divide our students may have.
